I am a Holotherian. I exist outside of Mankind.
Not only do I shatter societal norms and expectations, I shatter Mankind’s belief system that sentience belongs only to them. My instincts are considered “animalistic” by their standards. My senses do not align with my physical body. I have phantom appendages- tails, ears, paws, etc, that *should* be there, but aren’t. I am the wolf, the cat, even the dragon, and Unicorn. Bird, Kelpie, deer, Seraphim.
All of those – and more – make up my identity. Without these things I am simply not *me.*
I genuinely do not like humans, and around them I am wary and out of place.
I do not belong, and yet-
This does not degrade, defile, or disregard my level of sentience. I am aware, and feeling similarly to a human.
My body is simply an illusion that I do not conform to.
